UHL Rockford IceHogs 1999-2007

The Rockford IceHogs started in 1999 in the United Hockey League, they played till the 2006-2007 season in the UHL.  In their last season in the UHL they won their first (and last) Colonial Cup in a hard fought game 7 at home on Thursday, May 24, 2007, by a score of 3 to 1 against the Kalamazoo Wings. As many loyal fans were sad to see some of our players go, they were happy we ended our time in the UHL as Champions!

The 2007-2008 was the 1st season the IceHogs played in the American Hockey League,  with an affiliation to the Chicago Blackhawks. This page is dedicated to the "days in the U" and the great fans that supported the team!

How could we forget the days in the UHL? Below is a slide show tribute to the Booster members, players, and fans of the UHL Rockford IceHogs.

A TRIBUTE TO THE BEST FANS IN HOCKEY
Our Road to the Colonial Cup!

On Saturday May 19th, the IceHogs were in Kalamazoo to play a much anticipated Game 4 of the UHL Colonial Cup finals. And the Rockford fans showed outstanding representation at Wings Stadium, filling four busses - while dozens more drove separately. The event also saw fans from Muskegon, Fort Wayne, and the Quad Cities who'd made the trip. Some went to cheer for the IceHogs, some against, and others just wanted to see a great game. And despite the final score of 6-5 in favor of Kalamazoo, very few people went home disappointed with the fireworks this game provided.

This section is a tribute to the IceHog fans who made the trip.
